Xiaomi YU7 Officially Launched – A New Chapter for Xiaomi Auto
On June 26, Xiaomi Auto unveiled its first smart SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, marking a major step forward in the company’s EV strategy. With a starting price of RMB 253,500, the new model comes in three trims and is positioned as a milestone product, not just a lifted version of the SU7.
Bold Design and Performance Breakthrough
The Xiaomi YU7 continues the brand’s signature design with waterdrop-shaped headlights and integrated air ducts that reduce drag. The vehicle features a massive 3.11㎡ aluminum clamshell hood formed in one piece. With eight smart opening options, including UWB digital key and voice command, the hood also hides a 141L front trunk.
The SUV adopts a sleek coupe-style silhouette with over 40 aerodynamic optimizations, including flush-fit electric door handles and a 100-level adjustable active grille, achieving an impressive drag coefficient of 0.245Cd.
With dimensions of 4999/1996/1608mm and a 3000mm wheelbase, the YU7 offers ample presence. Customers can choose from nine body colors including Emerald Green and multiple 19- to 21-inch forged wheels.
Smart Cockpit Revolution with Xiaomi HyperVision
Inside, the YU7 introduces the industry-first Xiaomi HyperVision panoramic screen system. This setup includes three Mini LED displays, forming a 1.1-meter ultra-wide visual strip with 108 PPD clarity and 1200 nits brightness. It delivers crystal-clear visuals even in direct sunlight.
In addition, the 16.1-inch central screen, powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 8 chip, runs the HyperOS system, enabling triple-screen parallel display and seamless phone-app flow.
The cabin supports nine magnetic expansion slots, allowing users to customize with accessories like magnetic eyeglass holders and quick buttons. The upgraded “Super Xiao Ai” voice assistant enables five-zone voice interaction and localized AI processing. From up to 20 meters outside, users can control doors, windows, and even the hood via voiceprint recognition.

Luxury meets comfort with frameless doors and dual-layer soundproof glass. The front Nappa leather zero-gravity seats offer 10-point massage and lie-flat functionality. The 1.7㎡ smart dimming roof blocks 99.85% of sunlight and 99.9% of UV rays.
In the rear, seats recline to 135°, while extras like a built-in fridge and 6.68-inch smart rear display elevate the passenger experience.
Cargo space also impresses. The rear trunk holds 678L, and expands to 1758L with folded seats, making the YU7 suitable for families and road trips.
Safety, Intelligence, and Extreme Performance
The YU7 is built on a 2200MPa ultra-high strength Xiaomi steel structure, with 90.2% high-strength materials and a torsional stiffness of 47,610 N·m/deg. It features six hot-stamped steel tubes inside the A/B pillars, forming an embedded roll cage.
For smart driving, all models come standard with LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and 11 HD cameras. Backed by an NVIDIA Thor chip and a 10M-Clip AI model, the car supports end-to-end assisted driving.
Powertrain-wise, the YU7 features a standard 800V silicon carbide platform with RWD and AWD options.
